Positions Available

The Alamo Area Fire Chief’s Association’s Multi-Agency Testing Process will be conducting a candidate aptitude test that is open to individuals who have Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) and Texas Department of State Health Services (TDSHS) certifications. Texas certified or licensed Paramedics are also qualified to test without TCFP fire certification. Individuals that have completed (1) discipline and are within (3) months of completing the other meet qualifications to TEST. Only candidates that possess both fire and EMS certifications will be considered for employment, some of the departments will hire Paramedic only applicants.

Qualified candidates will be included on a shared reference list that participating agencies may consult when Fire Department job openings occur. The reference list is valid for one year.

Participating agencies currently include the Cities of Balcones Heights, Castle Hills, Helotes, Olmos Park, Leon Valley, Universal City, Cibolo, Shavano Park, Bracken, Schertz, Selma, Kerrville, District 7 ESD, District 2 ESD, Bulverde Spring Branch, Live Oak, Kirby, Converse, and Canyon Lake.

TO REGISTER: Candidates must register online at alamoareafirechiefs.com. Fill out the registration form under the POSITIONS AVAILABLE tab, select your test session, and remit $35 registration fee online. The registration fee is non-refundable.
