Course Description

This 8 hour training will provide the tools to safely identify, secure, and operate around a Solar Electric (Photovoltaic, or PV) System. With voltages up to 1000 VDC, knowing what can and can’t be shut down is KEY. The courses will address the following topics to help your agency develop a SOP.

  • Electrical Theory
  • Identify PV Components & functions
  • Code improvements for FF safety
  • Case Studies of PV related incidents
  • Tactical operations
